La Quinta's wrestling team is without doubt the best team in the DVL this year. La Quinta won the CIF team title last year! La Quinta has a great youth program and it shows on the mat. Many of La Quinta's wrestlers have been wrestling for years. With this said we are very proud of our score last night! We got a couple of pins and our wrestlers fought off many pins! Most of our wrestlers are first year wrestlers and came out tough against La Quinta. The coaches of Cathedral City High School were very proud after last nights match against La Quinta. We may not have won the match but we were very content with our performance. Next up, Indio at Cathedral City. (Check back for pictures of this match)

Here we are getting in shape while having fun too. We have a dual meet scheduled on Thursday December 9th against Desert Hot Springs High School.

Welcome to the 2009-2010 Cathedral City Lions WRESTLING blog. We are looking forward to a fun and positive year! Our team has a fresh batch of young men and women eager to wrestle their hearts out! New Additions to the team also include a new coaching staff. This includes Jacob "Shorty" Custer as head coach and Eric Breshears and George Howell as assistant coaches. Become a follower so that you can stay up to speed with our 2009-2010 season. With our numbers up from nine wrestlers last season, to 36+ wrestlers this season, we are to excited to bring tough competition to the DVL and CIF!
